Rogers originally launched the BlackBerry Torch 9800 in white back in mid-November of 2010 and as of today—it looks like the handset has been discontinued. That being said, we suspect this move was to make room for the BlackBerry 7 running Torch 9810, however for the meantime, the Torch 9800 is still available in black. Of course, we would not be surprised to see the black model also go away sooner rather than later. And while waiting to get the latest and greatest smartphone would be a never ending battle these days, we would suggest that if you were considering… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »

We did briefly mention the data throttling that Virgin Mobile was planning to start doing come October and well, here are a few more details. Basically, the unlimited plan will remain unlimited in theory. You will be able to use as much data as you want and not have to worry about overages, however once you read the 2.5GB level—your speeds will be reduced. No mention as to how slow they will get, but we suspect it will be a noticeable effect. According to Virgin; “After reaching this level, this minority of customers may experience slower page loads, file downloads… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »

The carrier is increasing the prices Pay As You Go customers incur for receiving text messages, and is raising its Regulatory Programs Fee beginning mid-August. More popular Twitter users will most likely choose not to be alerted for every mention. The application also allows for… Full Story » | Written by Jeremy Hill for . | Comment on this Article »
If you’re interested in picking up a webOS tablet from HP, I would recommend purchasing either the 16GB model or 32GB model from Amazon or Best Buy, as both retailers are currently running discounts on both models. In terms of the 16GB HP TouchPad, both Best Buy and Amazon are offering it for $489.99 as opposed to the $499 MSRP as set forth by HP. While $10 may not seem like a lot, it’s still a savings nonetheless and will hopefully prompt other retailers to cut their prices as well. In terms of the 32GB HP TouchPad, Amazon is offering… Full Story » | Written by Natesh Sood for . | Comment on this Article »
