The rumored Amazon tablet that’s been waiting for an official announcement now has a firm rumored launch date. The Wall Street Journal is saying that the Android-powered Amazon tablet will be out sometime in October of this year. Virgin Mobile announced rate plan changes for its Beyond Talk plans that will go into effect on July 20. Some customers will be seeing a slight increase in their monthly prices, while others will experience a slight decrease in their monthly bill. Virgin Mobile is changing prices to adhere to the growing smartphone market. We saw the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play launch here in the US with Verizon Wireless back in May and as of today, it looks like AT&T will be launching their own version of the handset. Sony has formed another cozy partnership with AT&T. AT&T revealed that it will be the exclusive provider of mobile broadband internet service for Sony's upcoming S2 tablet.
