Netflix has long been available in the US, however they made their international debut (albeit close to home) when they launched in Canada back in September. Of course, there was also the recent news from Netflix which stated that they were planning to launch in 43 more countries throughout the Americas, from Mexico to North America to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean later this year. And well, while none of that has helped those waiting for the service to come available in Europe—there may be a bit of good news on that front. Sadly though, that good news… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »

If you’re interested in picking up the new Motorola Droid 3 on Verizon Wireless by signing a new contract, I would recommend you purchase the Droid 3 through Amazon Wireless instead of directly with Verizon Wireless. The giant online retailer is currently offering the Droid 3 for only $69.99 on a two year contract, which is a savings of $130 from what you would have to pay with Verizon. If you are upgrading your phone on an individual account, the cost becomes $129, and if you are upgrading and a part of a family plan, then it is $149. The… Full Story » | Written by Natesh Sood for . | Comment on this Article »
RIM has been pretty good about rolling out updates for the BlackBerry PlayBook up until this point. Granted, none of the updates have included the native email support that many are waiting for. But still, it is nice to see the steady stream of updates to improve the overall experience. That being said, the last update came back on June 21st and brought the tablet up to version 1.0.6. And well, it looks like RIM has version 1.0.7 just about ready to roll-out and thanks to a leak coming from Bell Mobility, we have those details as to what one… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »
Apple has been carrying on a legal battle with Samsung and HTC lately. The latest ruling to come out of the proceedings has hit HTC right where it hurts the most. A judge for the International Trade Commission (ITC) has found HTC to be guilty of violating two Android-related patents that are owned by Apple. A portion of one of the patents reads,"The system provides an analyzer server, an application program interface, a user interface and an action processor. The analyzer server receives from an application running concurrently data having recognizable structures, uses a pattern analysis unit, such as a… Full Story » | Written by Jeremy Hill for . | Comment on this Article »
Over the past month or so, we've been bombarded with stories of hackers accessing databases and releasing personal information all over the web. Even if copious amounts of data aren’t bundled together and placed in a text document, there is still the threat of unauthorized access to email accounts. There are ways to make your email account more secure using methods such as Gmail's 2-step verification process, but it isn't mandatory. Hotmail has developed a new feature to aid in the battle against email hacking. Hotmail is requiring new users to use stronger passwords that are attached to their email… Full Story » | Written by Jeremy Hill for . | Comment on this Article »
It looks like Sears has upset some customers who thought they were getting the deal of a lifetime recently. According to the story, Sears, for a brief time had the iPad 2 listed at an incredible discount—the 16GB model for $69 and the 32GB model for $179. Both prices reflect the Wi-Fi only version, but still, it would have been an incredible deal. Well, it would have been if Sears actually meant to list the tablet at the price and if they actually honored any of the purchases. Instead, and probably as one would have expected, Sears cancelled and refunded… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »

While there is still quite a bit to learn about the Galaxy S II devices that will be coming available with US carriers, it looks like the Sprint branded Galaxy Within has recently been the subject of a few images. The pics show off the back of the handset which includes the Samsung and Sprint logo as well as the 8 megapixel camera with flash. In addition, it was noted that the handset will have Android 2.3.4 at launch. Of course the big catch here is that we are still uncertain as to when that launch is going to happen.… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article » More Recent Articles |
