Recently, a Wal-Mart brochure leaked the upcoming Sharp FX Plus, which is an Android smartphone with a Sidekick-esque form factor that is expected to become another mid-range offering from AT&T. At the time, many of the specs were unknown, but Pocketnow received a few press style images of the smartphone and were tipped on a few specs. AT&T has confirmed this week's rumor about the company moving away from unlimited data and into world of data throttling. Starting on October 1, AT&T will slow data speeds for the top 5% of data users. Chances are most of you reading this won't notice any difference in speed. It's still something to know just in case you use a bunch of data every month. AT&T didn't specify how much data will put someone in the top 5%. One of the criticisms about FaceTime—the video communication service by Apple—is the fact that it is locked to WiFi in order to save precious bandwidth space on cellular networks. However, a recent report is suggesting that Apple and Verizon are currently working on a deal that would provide Apple iPhone 4 customers on Verizon with the ability to FaceTime over its 3G network. After some folks felt disappointed that music streaming from Microsoft’s file storage service SkyDrive will not be supported by Windows Phone Mango, this was suddenly changed in the latest build. Build 77212 of Windows Phone Mango was just made available to developers, and one developer named Manan Kakkar confirmed that this new build now supports music playback from SkyDrive. The previously announced Lenovo IdeaPad Android tablet has just been listed and priced by Future Shop in Canada. And like the iPad, Android Tablets such as XOOM, LG Optimus Pad, BlackBerry Playbook and the HP TouchPad, the Lenovo IdeaPad will also be getting a price tag of $499.99. The Samsung Galaxy S II was made available in select markets in May 2011, but it was only available in the black variety. Fortunately for those who absolutely love the color white, Samsung has an identical spec’d model of the Galaxy S II in white coming on September 1st for the United Kingdom. No word on whether the white model will launch in additional markets, but the UK is certainly a promising start. Google Music is another invite-only service that some people would trip over themselves to get into.
