Apple releases a sub-$1000 iMac for education

Apple in the past has had a lot of special deals for schools and education customers, and today it took the wraps off it’s latest one. This new deal is a 21.5-inch iMac that sells for $999. The new iMac for education is a bit underpowered compared to it’s consumer-facing brethren. While the standard iMac starts out with a Core i5, this iMac has a dual-core i3 inside, making it a bit slower. According to a leaked, in-the-wild image of the upcoming HTC Ruby, it is likely that it is going to launch on T-Mobile, given the fact that the carrier’s branding is now apparent.  Previously, we heard about the Ruby, but we weren’t sure whether it was going to be a WP7 offering by HTC, or an Android device.  Once again, the leaked image reveals that it will be an Android device given its form factor with the capacitive soft touch buttons on the bottom of the screen.  Unfortunately, information regarding specs, launch date, and pricing is not yet available.  We’re assuming…

Sprint capable (original) Samsung Galaxy Tab now available for $99 with Kmart

The original 7 inch Galaxy Tab may not be the newest device on the market, however it is still a more than capable device, which I say from experience considering I am currently rocking one with Verizon. And well, the carriers are still charging a pretty penny for this now not-so-new-anymore tablet. That said, while Sprint may regularly charge $199.99 for the Galaxy Tab, you can now pick one up from Kmart for half-off. Yup, Kmart has begun advertising a $99.99 Sprint compatible Galaxy Tab. Of course, this price assumes a two-year agreement, which means you are likely to have…
