Since HP officially dropped Palm webOS development, they have begun a rapid-fire liquidation sale in which the 16GB HP TouchPad would be offered for $99 and the 32GB model would be offered for $149. While it may be difficult to find the HP TouchPad in stock on the online HP web store, it is still a nice gesture from HP and is likely to be very popular. However, there are many customers who already purchased the HP TouchPad through HP or another retailer before the immense price cut took place. To remedy the situation, HP is offering customers a full… Full Story » | Written by Natesh Sood for . | Comment on this Article »
Earlier today we mentioned the Walmart Wireless price for the Sprint BlackBerry Bold 9930 and it looks like there is also a listing for the Torch 9850. And similar to the price of the 9930, the Torch 9850 is also priced less expensive as compared to direct with Sprint. And for those needing a refresher, Sprint is going to be charging $149.99 which will come AFTER a $50 mail-in-rebate and along with a two-year agreement. As for Walmart Wireless—the handset is listed at $99.99, which of course comes with the same agreement, however there is not anything in terms of… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »

Sprint announced the BlackBerry Bold 9930 earlier in the month and at the time the announcement came with both a release date and a price. In short, the handset will be coming available with Sprint beginning on August 21st. The price, $249.99 on a two year agreement. And well, as we typically find with smartphones these days—you can often get it cheaper if you shop with someone other than the carrier. That being said, Walmart Wireless has listed the Bold 9930 for Sprint and the price is a much nicer sounding (but not all that cheaper)—$199.99. Of course, the two-year… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »
Almost like kicking someone when they are down, ViewSonic has offered up a press release to remind everyone that they are still selling tablets. In short, ViewSonic has stated that “in the wake of HP's failed webOS initiative” they are going to remain true to their “tablet strategy.” HP's move to launch a tablet with an unknown OS appears to have presented a challenge in marketing their tablet solution. The webOS, unfamiliar to both consumers and enterprises, complicated the tablet sales process and thus deemed a failed experiment. Sure, it may be a bit harsh and also a bit true… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »
