Earlier this month the word came for Kyocera Echo users—Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread was on its way. And in a little bit of disappointing news, that update did not continue to roll-out as originally expected. It looks like the folks at Commodore are attempting to attract a few more sales with the promise of free shipping. Of course, as many will remember, the remade-for-the-modern-day Commodore 64 computers have just recently come available. In fact, the first reports of shipping units came in late-June. While there obviously needs to be a bit more confirmation on this one, it is looking like those who picked up (and still have) a Dell Streak 7 tablet will be getting an update soon. First though, the update is expected to roll-out for the Wi-Fi only version of the Streak and not the 3G/4G version that you were able to get from T-Mobile. According to a letter received by an HTC Droid Incredible owner in response to an inquiry regarding future OS upgrades, the HTC Droid Incredible will not receive an update to Android 2.3. Walmart is really pushing it’s Vudu movie streaming service. Recently Vudu was put on desktop browsers, and today the movies will be viewable on the iPad. Right now you can go to Vudu.com and start renting movies to watch directly on your iPad. The movies will only play in SD, but the quality is pretty good from the trailers I’ve seen. The prices are the same few dollars per movie that Vudu that’s on every other device. Unfortunately, however, some of the movies aren’t available on the iPad.
