HTC isn’t saying if fans can expect new phones to be announced at the event, though that doesn’t mean there won’t be. The event is inviting fans to “see what’s next,” which certainly hints that there will be something new. As BGR points out, the timing in right for HTC to show off some… Full Story » | Written by Shawn Ingram for . | Comment on this Article »

And the good news just keeps on rolling in for all things webOS. First HP decides to ditch its webOS hardware operations, then it starts telling retailers to drop the TouchPad’s price by hundreds of dollars and now the Pre 3 appears to have been killed off. I suppose this isn’t particularly surprising news since HP currently has no idea what it’s going to do with webOS at this point. webOSroundup got its hands on an internal email from a “U.S. parts supplier” that confirms the Pre 3 will not be coming to AT&T. A portion of the short email… Full Story » | Written by Jeremy Hill for . | Comment on this Article »

According to a leaked internal screenshot detailing the Minimum Advertised Pricing of various Verizon devices, the Motorola Droid Bionic will retail for approximately $299 on a two year contract. While many of us were hoping Verizon would stray away from the $300 price point, it looks like that will not be the case for this highly anticipated Android 4G LTE superphone. In fact, Verizon Wireless already proved to us that they are not afraid of pricing a smartphone at $300, as the Samsung Droid Charge costs $299 on a two year contract. In addition, the MAP chart claims the price… Full Story » | Written by Natesh Sood for . | Comment on this Article »
The Android 2.3.4 update was released for the HTC Sensation 4G yesterday. T-Mobile is releasing this update in waves and it’s expected to continue rolling out until the end of September. Among the improvements in the update are better battery life, increased performance and better screen responsiveness. There was however one neat feature that T-Mobile left off the release notes. That feature is the ability to take screenshots. I will never understand why taking screenshots is not standard on every smartphone. It seems like such an obvious thing to do. If you want to take screenshots with the Sensation 4G,… Full Story » | Written by Jeremy Hill for . | Comment on this Article »

Since HP is not going to be creating webOS devices anymore, the HP TouchPad is the first and last tablet the company will release. HP also hasn't decided what it's going to do with webOS, so nobody is all that optimistic about its future. One thing is for sure, retailers are not going to want the TouchPad crowding its show floor and warehouse space. Massive discounts are happening right now. MocoNews reports that Best Buy employees in Emeryville, CA were informed of further TouchPad price cuts on top of the $100 discount HP recently made permanent. This report goes hand… Full Story » | Written by Jeremy Hill for . | Comment on this Article » More Recent Articles |
