Every since those fake Apple stores were called out in China, we have seen authorities take action against the stores that were selling Apple-branded products without permission. In the United States, there are a couple stores in New York that have found themselves firmly in Apple's crosshairs. The two stores are called Apple Story and Fun Zone Inc. A picture of Apple Story was posted on fake Apple store whistleblower BirdABroad's blog back in July. HP shares plummeted today to its lowest level in six years. At the time of this writing, HP's shares are down 20.23%. Its shares had fallen as low as 23%. Shaky confidence in HP is directly related to yesterday's flurry of huge announcements involving HP's decisions to discontinue webOS hardware and possibly separating or spinning off its personal systems group. One of Google+'s best features is Hangouts. Hangouts is a video conferencing feature that allows up to 10 people to participate in a video chat at the same time. While everyone is chatting, a YouTube video can be shown to everyone in the chat. Now, you don't have to search for a YouTube video from within Hangouts. Hangouts can be started directly from a YouTube video by clicking on the "share" icon right below the video. The T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4G is getting upgraded to Android 2.3.4 beginning August 18, 2011. T-Mobile will gradually roll out the update over the next month. By late September, everyone who owns a Sensation 4G should have an updated device. Android 2.3.4 adds some welcome improvements, but does not appear to be the update that will unlock the phone's bootloader. Best Buy is gearing up to start a new promotion next week involving the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Microsoft Bing has just announced the availability of their new Windows Phone app called - “We’re In.” According the official Bing blog, this Windows Phone app aims to make it easy to organize get-together’s, carpooling and trying to find people in the crowd. One of the biggest stories of the day was the surprise announcement that HP would be shutting down its webOS hardware operations. HP said it would be examining other avenues in which to use webOS software, but there won't be anymore devices such as the TouchPad or Pre. I’ve been seeing a couple of my Facebook friends announcing that their Nokia phones have just been updated to Symbian Anna and they are very happy to have the upgrade.
