Putting an end to any rumor and speculation—Peter Ritcher who is AT&T’s senior vice president of mobility and consumer markets has stated that LTE smartphones are not going to arrive until sometime in late-2011. The Samsung Conquer 4G will officially launch with Sprint on August 21st for the price of $99 on a two year contract. If you’re interested in picking up the mid-range Android smartphone on Sprint when it launches, I recommend you pre-order the device with Wal-Mart instead, because the third party retailer has the 4G smartphone for free on a two year contract. T-Mobile often touts their data plans as unlimited, since even if you go over your allotted amount of data for the month they only throttle your speeds down to 2G. Walmart's MP3 store is in its final days. On August 28, 2011, the Walmart Music Downloads Store will be closed. Come August 29, all content from the store will be disabled. Customer support will still be around for anyone who purchased music from Walmart's MP3 store prior to its closure. Facebook released its Facebook Messenger app yesterday for iOS and Android devices. The app is pretty straight forward. A federal jury in Massachusetts return a mixed bag of results for Nuance in the company’s efforts to assert Vlingo had infringed on a Nuance patent. Vlingo aimed to invalidate the patent.
