Google Nexus S Italy

It looks like Google’s second Android phone, the Samsung device otherwise known as Google Nexus S is gradually reaching out to international markets. Currently, the Google Nexus S can be purchased only from Best Buy in the U.S. and Carphone Warehouse in the U.K. I don’t know, but this seems like hampering the phone’s success and so Google definitely need to make it available through other channels. And the just announced release in Italy which is happening next month just might be a good start.

So, if you happen to be in Italy next month, you might want to take this chance to grab the Google Nexus S. The announcement was made by both Google and Samsung Italy. Now the good news is, the Google Nexus S will be available in Italy unlock. If you’re willing to pay 549 Euros, you can bring home this Android 2.3-powered phone with you as you leave Italy. Incidentally, the price is around $220 more than how much Best Buy is offering the Google Nexus S.

Now, Google please make the Nexus S available to other markets please?

White iPhone 4 appears in internal AT&T systems

Section: Apple, Communications, Cellphones, Cellular Providers, Smartphones

AT&T OLAM white iPhone 4

It’s hard to believe Apple still has yet to produce the white version of the iPhone 4 since its monumental launch back in June of 2010.  We are nearly four months away from the one year mark and many are still wondering when the white iPhone 4 will launch.  Today, we have some good news for anyone holding out for the white smartphone as an internal AT&T leak shows the presence of the iPhone 4 - 16GB white and iPhone 4 - 32GB white.  The internal screenshot shown above represents the Online Account Management, which is a legitimate source, but it does not announce any prospective dates for the launch of the white iPhone 4.

At this point, I would wait until the iPhone 5 launches and hope Apple will have the white version ready immediately.

LG Optimus V coming to Virgin Mobile, set to arrive February 1st with $149.99 price tag

It looks like Virgin Mobile will soon be launching the LG Optimus One Android smartphone, only it will arrive as the Optimus V. Name aside though, this is still one of the more popular Android handsets on the market today, which most likely comes from the nice carrier price points and the V with Virgin Mobile is no exception. The LG Optimus V is expected to come priced at $149.99 when it arrives on February 1st. Otherwise, just for a brief recap, the Optimus V will come sporting a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display, 600MHz processor, 3 megapixel camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a microSD card slot.

That said, it is being rumored that Sprint will be getting an HTC and Kyocera branded handset. Or more specifically, the HTC Arrive and the Echo by Kyocera. Otherwise, the HTC Arrive is expected to be a Windows Phone 7 handset and the Echo has also been known as the Sanyo Orange.

Motorola Xoom pegged with February 17th release date

Some additional and still rumored Motorola Xoom details, this time we have a release date which is expected to be February 17th. The details on this one are pretty simple and come according to a leaked internal Best Buy document which states that the “Motorola Xoom Android Tablet launch” is “Feb. 17.” Furthermore, the $699.99 price tag has been ‘confirmed’ by another source. Needless to say, this is far from an official announcement however it looks like it is pretty safe to believe that the Motorola Xoom will be available on February 17th and come priced at $699.99.

Apple offers up AT&T and Verizon iPhone commercial, shows them playing together nicely

Section: Apple, Communications, Cellular Providers, Smartphones, Mobile

We recently saw Verizon launch their first iPhone commercial, which was nothing more than watching the clock and waiting. Still, at the same time it was rather refreshing to not see them come bashing the AT&T iPhone right out of the gate. Needless to say, the Verizon iPhone and AT&T iPhone have still found their way into the same commercial—courtesy of Apple. Of course, the network bashing has gone and in this case, they are playing nicely.

While the details are rather light on this one, it looks like the Motorola Xoom might arrive with Best Buy sporting a $699 price tag. And for those keeping track, that is $100 under the previously rumored pricing. That said, neither is official however it should go without saying that our vote is for the lower price, $699.
