The coolest thing since Epic games put chainsaws on guns. A company by the name of Shogun Bros. has developed a mouse that doubles as a gaming controller. The Chameleon X-1 mouse features a one button switch to change from computing to gaming with the push of a button, a norway nordic chip system and a remote control presenter mode. Unfortunately, pricing on this bad boy is currently unavailable. The device will have 7 buttons on top for computing and 14 on the bottom for when you’re ready to save the earth from an alien race.
Although the device may look flashy and boost a unique design, I can’t imagine the controller aspect of the Chameleon to be very ergonomic. The base of the controller—the mouse side—would be one big curve without any real way for users to grip the device. Under the technical parameters on the company’s site, they have “support” listed under ergonomics criterion. Not quite sure how that works…
In any case, I’m sure that the Chameleon X-1 would make a perfect stocking stuffer for the gaming aficionado in your life.
