Sony has started marketing its upcoming S1 and S2 tablets through a series of short videos. The first video is entitled "The First Impression" and it is the first of five videos that make up a story called "Two will". It doesn't give us any real details about either tablet, but at least the promo is interesting to watch. The video focuses on a toy train that steadily makes its way around a track that is surrounded by various structures that resemble buildings. The leaks regarding Vizio's 8-inch tablet continue to leak out. Previous leaks showed that Walmart is getting ready to sell the tablet for the bargain price of $349. Before that, we saw the tablet make its rounds through the FCC and saw a sneak peak of it courtesy of the NBA's Blake Griffin. Today Engadget was faxed a release schedule that shows that the Vizio tablet will begin shipping during "week 26." It looks like Verizon may have accidentally outed a new tablet, though truth be told—we are unsure of the model. The speculation is that it could be a follow up to the Motorola Xoom—aka, the Motorola Xoom 2. LG Korea has just officially launched the Optimus 3D Android phone. This is to be called the LG Thrill 4G once it is released by AT&T in the U.S. As its name suggests, the LG Optimus 3D features a 3D LCD measuring 4.3-inch with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It also packs in a 1GHz dual core TI OMAP4430 processor, 512MB of RAM, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 5MP camera that can record 3D 1080p video at 24fps as well as 3D 720p video at 30fps. After more than a year of the iPad being on the market we still have no official Facebook app. Facebook was there for the iPhone and iPod touch when the App Store first launched, but an iPad app is nowhere to be found. It seems that is about to change within the next few weeks, though. Motorola Mobility (China) has just announced the latest member of its Milestone smartphone family - the Motorola Milestone 3 aka Motorola XT883. The days of streaming copyrighted content on the internet for profit could be coming to an end soon. The Senate Judiciary Committee passed a bill that if approved by the entire Senate, would make it a felony for anyone to commercially stream copyrighted content. If this law is passed, chances are there will be someone still streaming illegal content, but their numbers could decrease drastically out of fear of jail time. If convicted, those who break this law could spend up to five years in jail. Remember that interactive guitar Google put on its webpage last week to honor Les Paul's birthday? It turns out a lot of people around the world wasted a lot of time toying around with it. In theory, the entire world wasted $268 million in productivity fiddling around with that virtual guitar. That number assumes that the 740 million people who visited Google's homepage in June 2011 makes $25 a hour. It looks like those who have been waiting for a 4G model of the BlackBerry PlayBook are going to be waiting a bit longer. According to RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis, the 4G equipped tablet will not be launching this summer as expected. Bell was rumored to launch the HTC Sensation 4G for a decent amount of time, and today, it looks like those previous rumors have finally come true. Bell announced in a press release earlier today that it would launch the iconic HTC superphone sometime in the coming weeks.  After all the speculation of just how well the PlayBook was doing in the market we finally have some numbers. Well, we have at least one number. RIM has announced that it has shipped a total of 500,000 BlackBerry PlayBooks. That 500,000 number was actually near the top of the analyst estimates, which is good. The potentially troubling part is that the number is only for units shipped to retailers. It doesn’t mean that 500,000 units were sold. The BlackBerry PlayBook is scheduled to grace the UK market today. While mobile operators are probably busy selling the BlackBerry PlayBook, one major mobile player in the area refuses to join the party.
