Motorola Mobility has just announced the upcoming availability of its broadband device called Motorola Telavation. This broadband device works with a Wi-Fi router, allowing you to watch live TV on an internet connected device anywhere around the home. The HTC UK team admitted defeat earlier this morning as they announced upgrading the HTC Desire from Android 2.2 to Android 2.3 is impossible. Apparently, the lack of the internal memory on the Desire prevents them from upgrading the device to Gingerbread while retaining the HTC Sense skin. We’ve heard a lot about some of the new features in Apple’s iOS 5, but certainly not all of them. Following up on a recent rumor that Bell would launch the HTC Sensation (the one that is currently about to launch on T-Mobile), MobileSyrup is confident that Bell will release the Sensation sometime in mid-July. Google built its name on fast and relevant searches and the company has announced new features that will make our searching lives easier. The new features are Google Voice Search for desktop browsers, Search by Image and Instant Pages. Voice search has been carried over from Google search on Android devices. Research firm Detwiler Fenton has a few more potential facts about Amazon's not-yet-announced tablets. One of Amazon's tablets that is codenamed "Hollywood" will supposedly have a 10-inch screen and will be much more powerful than the Amazon's other tablet that is codenamed "Coyote." This falls in line with a previous report that says "Hollywood" has a quad-core processor and "Coyote" has a dual-core processor. Straight out of the 2011 Cable Show, Comcast and Skype will work together to provide internet calling through Comcast cable boxes. The move echos many TV manufacturers efforts to put Skype on their TVs. Trials will begin in the coming months. The service will start off at 720 resolution but will move to 1080 eventually, according to Senior Comcast VP Cathy Avgiris as quoted by the Seattle Times. Nokia and Apple have decided to end their ongoing litigation. The agreed-upon result is Apple will pay Nokia a one-time fee plus ongoing royalties for the license. Last week, U.S. Cellular revealed a slew of upcoming products it will release in 2011. Among the list of smartphones that were announced was the carrier's first Windows Phone 7 smartphone. SugarSync, the cloud storage service that we've reported on before, is currently rolling out a new feature called Mobile Device Management. This feature will allow SugarSync users to to control the content that is pushed to their various devices that also use SugarSync. The HP TouchPad will be released in Canada on July 15, and Rogers will carry the tablet on day one. According to a document from Rogers detailing the release of the TouchPad, we have what could be the Canadian release of the HP Pre 3 as well. According to the document you see above, the Pre 3 will be released in Canada on July 19, just four days after the release of the TouchPad. We have seen RIM fire off two updates for the PlayBook recently and it now looks like a third will be arriving sooner rather than later. According to the details we have seen thus far, the next update will bring the software version number up to 1.0.6 and the update is currently available (in testing) in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. Does July 1 seem just too long a wait for the first WebOS tablet? HP has you covered with a collection of videos about the TouchPad. Sure, the videos won’t help you get your hands on the TouchPad any sooner, but at least you’ll know everything about the tablet once you do get to hold it. We had mentioned the rumor yesterday morning, and aside from coming a day ahead of when we expected, it looks like it was indeed accurate—Apple is now selling unlocked (contract-free) iPhone 4’s here in the US.
