Apple's Mac OS X 'Lion,' iOS5 Converge in iCloud
CEO Steve Jobs hit the stage at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference June 6 to unleash the long-anticipated Mac OS X 'Lion,' which refines the popular operating system with some 250 new features. Jobs also unveiled the iOS 5, which frees iPads, iPhones and iPods from needing to be tethered to a PC. He also introduced iCloud, a Web file storage and backup platform.

iCloud Could Rain on Google's, Amazon's Parade
Apple CEO Steve Jobs and his executives unveiled the long-rumored iCloud during the June 6 kickoff of the company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference. With the new service, Apple is essentially throwing down the gauntlet to Google and Amazon.com, both of which have been building out their cloud offerings for consumers.
