Acer Chromebooks are delayed

Yesterday the first Google Chromebooks went on sale to all who were willing to buy them. However, Google announced Chromebooks from Samsung and Acer at Google I/O, and only Samsung units were available for purchase at first. So, what happened to Acer’s Chromebooks? HTC EVO 4G update coming June 20th, fixes Netflix and Visual Voicemail issues

The recent HTC EVO 4G upgrade from Android 2.2 to Android 2.3 brought upon some good changes, but unfortunately, caused a few issues as well, namely a malfunctioning Netflix app and erroneous Visual Voicemail notifications.  The new update is scheduled to go live on June 20 and hopefully reach all the HTC EVO 4G owners shortly after it is rolled out.  If you take a look at the graphic above, you’ll see that the main goals of the update is targeted towards fixing the Netflix and Visual Voicemail errors.  As of now, Sprint hasn’t officially announced the update to version…

Microsoft is alerting consumers about scams that are currently going on in countries such as the United States, the UK, Ireland and Canada. The scams are designed to make potential victims feel insecure about their computer's security. They then trick people into giving them access to different things that result in theft, computer problems or loss of money. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be officially available tomorrow, $499 for 16GB model

Google Voice for Android gets an update, should help to improve battery life

Google has rolled out another update for their Google Voice app on Android. This latest brings the version number up to 0.4.2.32 and it remains available for those using Android 1.6 or later. Sony tablets rumored for September release in Europe

Sony confirmed the existence its of two upcoming Android tablets this past April. The Sony S1 and S2 will be released with Honeycomb and are PlayStation Certified. Verizon extends 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot trial for the Thunderbolt, Revolution and Droid Charge

Yesterday there was a story claiming that the HTc Desire wouldn’t be getting an update to Gingerbread at all. Well, HTC has announced via Facebook that the story is false. The statement from HTC simply says “Contrary to what we said earlier, we are going to bring Gingerbread to HTC Desire.” Pretty clear there.
