The part you also could have missed is where those images will be stored if you upload them via Twitter. When the new image sharing capability launches for all Twitter users, each image will be hosted by Photobucket. Just so you never forget about that, each image will have a link link saying it is “powered by Photobucket.” The link will bring you to a Photobucket where you can sign up with your Twitter name to use Photobucket to store, share, and edit images. With Photobucket hosting the files, there should be less strain on Twitter’s servers. We’ve finally gotten to a point where Twitter won’t break down from big news events, so we don’t need photos leading to more possible downtime. Of course, Twitpic and yFrog along with their competitors can’t be too happy with this move from Twitter and Photobucket, but that’s the danger of relying on Twitter for your business. Thankfully for some, Instagram uses Twitter, but was smart enough to build it’s own social network for photo sharing, unlike the previous two. That’s right, the servers that powered one of the first great messaging phones are now gone. The Danger Sidekick servers were used to store the contact information and other data for users because the devices themselves didn’t have much memory to speak of. If you are still using a Sidekick, you can still export your data using my.t-mobile.com. If your data isn’t backed up, down let the phone lose a charge, or else all of your data will be lost forever. The original Sidekick may nto be all that great now, but it was great at the time. It’s sad to see the service go offline, but now we have an Android-powered Sidekick to carry on the name with a more powerful OS and a better overall experience. It will even keep all of your data in storage and not memory, so there’s never any fear of losing your data because of a loss of charge in the phone. Today the studio has announced a multiyear deal with Hulu to bring it’s collection to the ad-supported service as well. In the deal, both Hulu and Hulu Plus users will get access to Miramax films. Hulu Plus subscribers will get access to a collection of ad-free movies including “Pulp Fiction,” “My Left Foot,” “Jay And Silent Boby Strike Back,” and “Clerks,” among hundreds of others. Those who don’t pay $7.99 each month for Hulu Plus will be offered a rotating selection of 15 ad-supported films. Having a rotating selection of movies for non-Plus subscribers is a great idea, and it might actually convince more people to pay for the service. The movies are already available on Netflix, but it’s nice to have an option as to which service you might want to use to watch the movies. Both have their merits, and it’s great that Miramax is working with both. Now if only other studios would follow suit. Instead, the tablet is being shown off by SanDisk who makes the storage inside the TouchPad. There isn’t much new to report about the TouchPad aside from the fact that SanDisk has a working model. The demo video from GadgetsMagazine shows the tablet in what is hopefully a non-final version. There seemed to be a few times where WebOS would hang or just not respond to taps and gestures. There also looked to be a slight issue with playing video. Those flaws seem a bit minor, but still need to be fixed before release. We still don’t know when that release would be, though June 12 seems the best guess at the moment. Until then, enjoy the video of the TouchPad below. While RadioShack has quietly been taking pre-orders on the glasses-less EVO 3D, Sprint has been extremely quiet on pricing and availability information. However, if we are to believe the leaked advertisement (that you can see above), then the EVO 3D is probably going to launch on June 24, with pre-orders officially ending on June 21. It seems every other week a carrier is launching a new flagship Android smartphone, and it’s been a couple of weeks since Sprint launched the Nexus S 4G, so for their benefit, they need to launch the EVO 3D as soon as possible. Twitter’s search feature has been improved to display more tweets that may matter to you. This feature has also been extended to trending topics as well. Also, the search results will include the top images and videos based on whatever you searched for. For example, Marilyn Monroe is a trending topic today. After clicking on the trending topic link or entering her name into the search box, you’ll see “top images” and “top videos” to the right of the page. You’ll be able to view all the top photos in a separate browser tab. Twitter also confirmed it is rolling out an official photo uploading service “over the next several weeks.” The feature will be very straight forward. A little picture icon will appear just below the text box. Here’s what it will look like. Twitter will be expanding this feature to mobile applications as well on smartphones and non-smartphones. Twitter is trying to make it so that users who aren’t using smartphones can upload pictures to Twitter through text messages. The other two are the myTouch 4G Slide and the HTC Marvel. Both of these phones are set to be released a little more than one week apart from each other. These are the obvious three choices, but we wouldn’t be against a big surprise. A T-Mobile branded HTC Flyer isn’t out of the question either.
