If you’re looking for the HTC Flyer that comes with 3G bands, you won’t find one in stores just yet. The WiFi only HTC Flyer may have launched about a month ago, but the one destined for T-Mobile is still off in the not-so distant future. Sonic.net is an internet service provider that supplies web access to some areas of California. It was recently revealed that Sonic.net is going to be providing something that not too many ISPs provide to residential customers. The company is going to supply hundreds of homes around Sebastopol, California with internet connection speeds of up to 1Gbps (gigabit per second) this year. We saw Virgin Mobile announce the Motorola Triumph smartphone last week and while we were left wondering when it will be coming available and how much it will end up costing—there was a nice bit of follow up in terms of Android. We recently saw as RIM rolled out the 1.0.5.2304 software update for the BlackBerry PlayBook and while that was probably not the update that many had been waiting for, it still brought a few worthwhile changes and improvements. That being said, it looks like RIM is preparing to roll out another update and similar to the previous one—this is not the one that is going to bring the email and calendar apps that some are waiting for. We had seen some previous rumors in the lead up, and it looks like they were indeed accurate—T-Mobile has officially killed off the G2 smartphone. According to the leaked screen capture the end-of-life date was June 6th and a quick check of the T-Mobile website is now showing a site without the G2 being available for purchase. While an official confirmation from Sprint or RIM would be nice, it looks like the BlackBerry Torch 9850 (aka Monaco) is going to be released in late-August. Well, on August 21st to be specific. According to an image on Samsung Singapore’s Facebook showing off a HDMI cradle dock for the Samsung Galaxy S II, we can see a device bearing the AT&T logo on it.
