It looks like Sharp is the next player to join the 3D smartphone market as a Sharp-branded CMDA handset has just been spotted to have graced the FCC tablet lately. While some folks have already been enjoying their new Samsung Galaxy S II for quite some time now, it is still uncertain as to when it will finally be available in the US and Canada. Well, that was until now, at least for our Canadian friends, the long wait might come to an end next month. After Thursday’s earnings call we all know that RIM isn’t doing too well, but there are still some devices coming from the company. There’s the touchscreen BlackBerry Bold, and updates to the Curve and Torch lines coming sometime this year. In a recent interview with BGR, Verizon Wireless CMO Marni Walden has said that the carrier plans on carrying three new devices from RIM this year. What exactly those devices will be, we have no idea. While the American Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 officially launched today in Best Buy and other retail chains nationwide, the Android tablet is expected to make its official debut in Canada on July 22. According to Best Buy’s product page for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the 16GB model will sell for $499 and it will arrive in their warehouse on July 22. Japan is now the place to be if you want to have a better chance of avoiding computer viruses. The country has now made it illegal to create, distribute or store viruses. Those who are caught doing so without a good reason will be either sentenced to prison for up to three years, or be fined up to $6,000 or 500,000 yen.
