Brando’s Latest USB 2.0 Hub Is For Collectors, Hoarders Posted: 08 Nov 2010 05:11 AM PST Sure, it might be $72, but you’ll never have to worry about not having enough available USB ports ever again. Just think, you’ll finally have a spot for all of your crap, including those Hot Wheels USB novelty drives. Brando |
Hublot King Power Ayrton Senna F1 Watches Posted: 08 Nov 2010 04:33 AM PST The two limited edition Ayrton Senna watches from Hublot are quite interesting. Hublot here has been able to showcase a few new things. The first of which are all carbon-fiber versions of their King Power watch cases. Often times cases will have carbon fiber inserts, but theses 48mm wide cases are in all carbon fiber, though part of Hublot's typical sandwich construction. This in a sense is Hublot's answer to Audemars Piguet's forged carbon cases on some of their Royal Oak Offshore watches. While the cases are carbon fiber, the bezels are in matte ceramic and made to look like disc brakes. The screws and crown are PVD black titanium. |

Kinect Partially Hacked, Motor Control Complete Posted: 07 Nov 2010 08:48 AM PST Some hax0rs have figured out how to control the Kinect’s motors from Windows, the first step in eventual total control of the new Microsoft gaming product. Not much else to say right now except that this demo shows the motors inside the Kinect interacting with a small app on the desktop. Could this be the first step on the road to the $2,000 bounty for an open-source Kinect? |
Lum-Tec B8: My New Almost Favorite Watch Posted: 07 Nov 2010 08:41 AM PST Lum-Tec just posted this striking shot of their new B8 chronograph. I love the styling and quality – Lum-Tec is great at PVD coatings and lume – but I’m sad, so sad that it has a Japanese quartz movement. Oh well. At $595 it’s not too bad a price and you are, after all, getting quite a bit of watch. It’s 43mm and it comes with a nylon NATO strap. You can even check out Lum-Tec’s arguably low-tech availability chart to see if you can get one. |
