Larry Klayman, a well known Republican political activist, has sued Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook for $1 billion after the social networking site did not remove an anti-semitic page quickly enough. And like any other mentally stable politician, Klayman attributed Zuckerberg’s character in the recent Facebook film as a reflection of his actual personality. "While Facebook has accomplished a lot of good, it can, as in this instance, be used for nefarious and evil purposes. Defendants Zuckerberg's and Facebook's callous and greedy actions in not taking down the page, but willfully allowing it to stay up for many days, has caused huge damage, for which they must be held accountable, so as to prevent this from ever happening again. They must be not only enjoined but also hit in their purse, which is where they understand matters best. Apparently, the ethically compromised Zuckerberg has no conscience or sense of right or wrong, as depicted recently in the award winning film "Social Network." Above is a snapshot of the hate page as seen on Facebook before its removal on March 29th. According to Facebook, the page made "direct calls for violence" and were therefore in violation of policies. An excerpt taken from the hate page: "Judgment Day will be brought upon us only once the Muslims have killed all of the Jews.” Somehow, the page managed to gain more than 340,000 fans. I’m certain that at any given point, you’d be able to find dozens of hate pages all across Facebook. I also believe that Zuckerberg and co. handle said hate pages with little tolerance. But when you look at this situation through the eyes of a Jewish person, why not use it as a lightening rod to win a quick billion dollars? Those up in Canada and looking for an Android tablet can pick up the Galaxy Tab from Bell for as low as $199.95. Of course, that price requires the standard three-year agreement. Otherwise, Bell has also lowered the no term pricing, which is down to $399.95. All things considered, and despite knowing that several new tablets are getting ready to come available in the next few months (of which we hope some will land with Bell), the Galaxy Tab is still a compelling device—especially with a $200 price point. Plus, its available now. Amazon, Google and Apple are all believed to be developing hardware and software for this very purpose. Samsung and Visa have officially partnered with each other to bring NFC payments to London in 2012. Their partnership will produce a new Olympic and Paralympic Games phone. The phone will use NFC and Visa’s technology in conjunction with an app installed on the device. All users will have to do is select a payment option in the app and place their phone in front of a scanner at checkout. In order to spread the word of the new Olympic phone, Samsung and Visa will use Olympic athletes (that they sponsor) to promote the device. The phone will also be sold through unannounced carriers. The device will use a special Visa SIM card to make contactless payments possible. Any information about the Olympic phone hasn’t been revealed yet. Visa is in talks with companies from around the world about accepting its NFC payments with cards and phones. The fact that Visa is using SIM cards means it’ll be working with GSM carriers. GSM devices are far more popular than CDMA devices. Both Samsung and Visa are commercial sponsors of the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
