Well, HTC didn’t release issue a complete statement like RIM and Nokia, but Eric Lin, the global head of PR for HTC, did answer the question about how many people complained about antenna issues on the HTC Droid Eris. Basically, Steve Jobs said only 0.55% of iPhone 4 owners complained about antenna or reception issues. Eric Lin says only “approximately .016% of customers” complain about the HTC Droid Eris in terms of antenna or signal problems. While HTC’s “statement” is not as long as RIM’s or Nokia’s, it’s pretty much saying HTC Droid Eris owners experience less antenna problems than Apple. For those of you who love to crunch numbers, Apple’s number of 0.55% is 34.4 times higher than HTC’s number of 0.016%. I’m sure we will hear from Samsung shortly regarding Jobs’ demonstration on the Omnia II.
