    Food manufacturer General Mills, Inc. (NYSE: GIS) beat Wall Street estimates when it released its latest earnings report.

    General Mills reported early Tuesday that its fiscal year 3rd quarter net income climbed 15% to $332.5 million, or 96 cents per share, up from $288.9 million, or 85 cents per share, a year earlier.

    Positive economic news did not help the Euro Currency. German and French manufacturing flash PMIs were stronger than expected at 56.3 and 59.6
    respectively. Germany's service sector PMI was also stronger than expected.

    The euro dropped to a 10-month low against the dollar on Wednesday as worries about Greece continued to weigh down the currency. The euro also fell to its lowest level in its 11 year history against the Swiss franc.
