    According to a report by Barron's, Wachovia will pay $160 million in money-laundering penalties. Prosecutors in Miami announced the penalty on March 17. This is largest penalty ever under federal anti-money-laundering laws.

    According to a report by the Financial Times, Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX) will offer MGM studios, the owner of James Bond franchise, $1.5 billion for an acquisition. Time Warner is expected to pay for the assets of MGM in cash.
