Google has finally managed to make it easy to use Google Music on your iOS device, by creating an HTML5 app. Now you can stream all your music from Google Music to your iPhone or iPod touch. To use the app all you ned to do is go to music.google.com in Mobile Safari. You’ll get a message asking you to increase the apps storage on your device, and then you’ll be able to search through all of your music from the web app. Scrolling is sluggish at first, but will smooth out after some time. Evernote is expanding it’s range of tablet apps by bringing out an app for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Now you’ll be able to take notes in Evernote from your favorite non-Android 7-inch tablet. Twitter currently displays Promoted Tweets on its website when you log in. Promoted Tweets are paid Tweets that brands create to attract more followers to its products or services. Google won’t have to rely on outside companies to populate reviews for restaurants anymore, as today the company announced that it has acquired Zagat. Zagat will be powering Google’s local rating services in search and Google Maps. By buying Zagat Google no longer has to rely on scraping Yelp for reviews, or on it’s on Google Hotpot. The HTC Status introduced us in the United States to a phone with a dedicated button just for Facebook. At one point, it was rumored that AT&T would be pulling the device due to low sales, but that rumor was put to rest. It looks like things may be heating up between the teams that are racing to get a working version of Android on the HP TouchPad. We recently heard from Team TouchDroid who were showing that they finally got the touchscreen drivers working and they were preparing to move onto work on other issues. Last week, AT&T announced one device that was far too expensive. This week, AT&T has done the complete opposite. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G will be coming to the carrier on September 18 for only $50 on a two-year contract. $50 will cover the cost of the phone and a couple accessories. We have seen a few bits and pieces of TouchPad information coming from HP since they shut down production of the tablet. For example, they did state that a limited supply would be available in a few weeks. Turntable.fm soared in popularity over the summer. Part of its success was fueled by its invitation-only requirement which only made people salivate over it even more. Turntable.fm also did a great job of socializing music discovery and even adding a bit of a gaming element into it. However, the buzz around Turntable.fm has died down. Motorola is set to launch a new smartphone in France via Orange - the new Motorola FIRE. What’s interesting about this phone is the fact that it closely resembles the previously announced Motorola Pro+ which should be available in the US soon. The only difference is that the Motorola FIRE will be sporting an AZERTY keyboard instead of QWERTY, simply because said keyboard is widely used in France. The United States Department of Justice recently filed an antitrust suit against AT&T in an attempt to block its proposed $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA. The DOJ has presented AT&T with what is arguably its greatest opposition yet. Both sides will be able to state their cases in front of Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle on September 21, 2011. The DOJ, AT&T and Deutsche Telekom all have to come up with scheduling plans on September 16. We no longer need to make assumptions on when Google will release Ice Cream Sandwich. During an interview with SalesForce, Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt gave Ice Cream Sandwich a launch window of between October and November.
