AT&T may have just encountered its biggest setback yet in its journey to acquire T-Mobile USA. Bloomberg reports that the United States government is against the merger. The Justice Department has filed a complaint stating the merger is simply bad for competition. "AT&T's elimination of T-Mobile as an independent, low- priced rival would remove a significant competitive force from the market," the complaint read. The government also says a combined AT&T and T-Mobile would be in violation of antitrust laws that are in place. Before news of this broke, AT&T issued a press release that said a merger would create… Full Story » | Written by Jeremy Hill for . | Comment on this Article »

After weeks of waiting, the Samsung Galaxy S II is finally available in the US. At the announcement I had a few minutes to try out both the Sprint and AT&T versions of the phone. The first thing you notice about both phones is that they are positively massive. The screen is a full 4.5-inches, which seemed gigantic, especially when compared to the iPhone 4 I carry everyday. It can be hard to reach the top of the phone when holding it from the bottom, but not impossible, unless you have tiny hands. Picking up the device can be strange… Full Story » | Written by Shawn Ingram for . | Comment on this Article » More Recent Articles |
