Note to our readers
Spreadsheet phobia is a thing. The fear is less about the "sheet" and more about the "spread." It can produce nightmares about data docs where the columns stretch to the right endlessly. To see the complete dataset on one page means using a high-powered magnifying glass at best and the Hubble telescope at worst.

We have contributing writer Jennifer Zaino to thank for bringing us back to Earth. In her article "How to get started with DataOps," she makes it simple: Creating a system for sharing data helps teams collaborate, supports the quality of data, and opens a data flow that results in doing business better. It's not about the spreadsheet. It's about the data journey.

Check out the tips she offers for making DataOps happen. Maybe it will help you sleep better, too?

This week, we're also looking at the human side of business strategy, from team building to career boosting. Bonus: Pixar animators, "Saturday Night Live," and "Alf" make guest appearances.
