Access to cloud and on-premises data is a critical business function.

| | | What's New: | Hybrid Data Pipeline (HDP) is our self-hostable hybrid connectivity solution that you can run in the cloud or on-premises. With release 4.6, HDP now packs even more functionality to help you securely connect with enterprise data—wherever it lives! - Connectivity to REST APIs: HDP 4.6 enables the creation of data sources using the Progress DataDirect Autonomous REST Connector. With this integration, you can query API data using standard SQL and eliminate the need to understand the complexities of the JSON response to start effectively working with the data.
- Tenant User Management: A set of new features in HDP 4.6 enables customers to more effectively manage users, data sources and server settings on a tenant-by-tenant basis.
- Transaction Support: HDP 4.6 supports transactions against data stores such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server. Transactions are supported for JDBC, ODBC and OData.
- External Database Support: We continue to add support for external databases. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle and Microsoft SQL are currently supported.
- Java Configuration: In order to provide greater flexibility in terms of runtime dependencies and customization, the default JRE that is installed with the server or the on-premises connector can now use either the Oracle Java 8 JRE or the OpenJDK 8 JRE.
- Tomcat Update: The Hybrid Data Pipeline server and on-premises connector will now install and leverage Tomcat 9.0.19 to provide enhanced security.
