Huawei Goes Official with the Ascend D2 5-inch Android Smartphone

Aside from the Ascend Mate, Huawei has also unveiled another one of its flagship smartphone, the Huawei Ascend D2. It's actually the company's entry into the expanding 5-inch smartphone market. And knowing that the said market is already saturated with advanced smartphones, Huawei made sure that its entry can compete with the others.

All that being said, what can we expect from the Huawei Ascend D2 as officially revealed by Huawei. As mentioned, it has a 5-inch display, a 1080p LCD panel to be exact. It also packs in Huawei's in-house K3V2 1.5GHz quad-core processor together with a 13MP camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, a 3,000 mAh battery with ADRX (Automated Discontinous Reception) which allow the device charge in 30% less time and last six days on standby.

The Huawei Ascend D2 is expected to be released in China this month. It will also be rolled out in the Japanese market right after its Chinese debut. Pricing information is still unknown at this time. Full press release is included below.
