Samsung has announced its new collection of Series 5 Ultraboks which are so far only for South Korea. The Series 5 Ultrabooks come in 13- and 14-inch sizes, and pack Intel Core i5 CPUs with up to 8GB of RAM. The 13-inch models is just 14.9mm thick, and has a 1366x768 display. Inside the 13-inch packs a 500GB HDD with 16GB SSD, Intel graphics, and standard ports like USB, Ethernet, VGA, and HDMI. In just under a year the Mac App Store has reached a total of more than 100 million app downloads. The Mac App Store launched on January 6, 2011, and saw 1 million downloads that first day. When Lion launched, that was another 1 million downloads in a single day. The proposed merger between AT&T and T-Mobile is looking less likely to happen every week. The regulatory bodies in the United States are fearful of the destruction of competition and massive job losses if the merger is approved. One way for AT&T to potentially save the deal is by divesting a lot of T-Mobile’s assets to make the merger appear smaller.
