It appears as if Google has begun rolling out an update to the Android Market. This latest update will bring the version up to 3.3.11 and with the new number comes new features as well as some changes and improvements to existing features. Some of the biggies include the new found ability to have updates done only over a Wi-Fi connection and the ability to automatically add shortcuts to the homescreen. Breaking this down a bit further and the full changelog reads as follows; New setting: Auto-update apps (presumably, sets all apps to auto-update mode, woohoo!) These latest details are coming by way of a leaked Verizon Wireless roadmap (which can be seen below) and slates the “Samsung Holiday Portfolio (with Galaxy Nexus)” as coming on or around November 28th. Google has finally created an official Gmail app for iOS, but even this free app isn’t worth your time. The Gmail app brings most of what you love of Gmail to iOS. There’s the priority inbox and threaded conversations, and it even has push support so you don’t have to wait for the Maill app to refresh your Gmail to find out when you have a new message. The app uses a panel display similar to the iPhone Facebook app, with a dual-pane mode for the iPad version of the app. It’s relatively clean, and works within Google’s new design… Full Story » | Written by Shawn Ingram for . | Comment on this Article »

It looks like the folks at UP Digital Bureau and Unteleported have taken the ability to tweet and gone old school with it. The firms have announced a rotary style phone that comes complete with a small display and the ability to tweet by spinning the rotary dial. And suddenly, the 140 character limit sounds like it will take some time to reach. Consider this, you may only have 140 characters, however it will take more than a few spins of the rotary to get certain letters out. For instance, to get «a» you have to dial «2» once, and to get «f»… Full Story » | Written by Robert Nelson for . | Comment on this Article »
