December 8th is also the rumored launch date for the Motorola Droid 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon Wireless, but it could also mark the release date of the first NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor tablet. LG has announced its initial plans for upgrading some of its smartphones to Ice Cream Sandwich. LG plans to bring Android 4.0 to the higher-end phones including the Optimus 2x, Optimus Black, Optimus 3D, and Optimus LTE. That doesn’t mean Ice Cream Sandwich won’t make it to other recent LG smartphones, it just means that LG is still evaluating those phones to see if ICS is compatible with them.
