When CISO Jaya Baloo accepted a new position at a security solutions provider, her biggest worry was that she might get bored. But that couldn't have been further from what was to come after Baloo walked into her first day on the job facing a breach that had been active months before.

In a discussion about her experience, Baloo reveals 10 tenets developed over time in various security roles. First and foremost is to avoid complacency and be paranoid about your abilities "You tend to hunt for things that you expect, and that means you are only going to find things you are looking for," she says.
