As a self-proclaimed tech junkie, I'm never far from a screen of some kind.

While my device of choice is usually a PC, apps become very helpful when I'm trying to work on-the-go.

Managing multiple projects remotely is a difficult task, but here are a few apps that make it easier. For all of the desktop purists out there, these apps have website counterparts as well.

Azendoo (Android and iOS)

Azendoo is the management tool of choice among industry leaders like Nike, Virgin Media, and Toyota. Azendoo's simple design makes it unique. Users can invite other collaborators to "workspaces" (projects) that can be broken up into subjects (categories), which are then divided even further into individual tasks.

Each workspace and subject feed come with a discussion section where you can update coworkers on your progress. The "task card" section under specific tasks allows media to be added from external services like Dropbox, Evernote and Google Drive (available in workspace and project view as well).

Check on the status of individual members and assign tasks with just a few clicks. Azendoo's fluid and responsive design make it a must try for project management professionals.
