Is the IO Hawk a personal transportation device that will stick?

I remember watching the Today Show about a decade ago. They were hyping a huge innovation in transportation to be revealed after the break. As a much younger, more optimistic gadget enthusiast, my expectations soared.

This could be one thing and one thing only: a jetpack. Jetpacks for everyone. Safe and efficient jetpacks. No more traffic. Heck, no more need for roads. This was it. I was about to witness history. My life would never be the same.

To be fair, my life never was the same, but not really in the way I hoped. For one thing, I didn't get too excited about big announcements anymore. Expecting jet packs and seeing a couple of dorky scooters was a disappointment I never quite got over.

Deal alert: Brand new AT&T unlocked LG G2 for $190 on eBay

LG's aging but formidable G2 smartphone dropped well below $300 in factory unlocked variants through Amazon months ago, then hit an all-time $210 low on eBay… for only a few days. The auction website also saw the 2013 flagship's tag slashed under $200 for the first time a month and a half back, but that deal didn't last long either and it forced you to settle for a pre-owned, refurb unit anyway.
