Study identifies point of diminishing returns
HP Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting has been assessing the capabilities of security operations centers (SOCs) for six years using the Carnegie-Mellon capabilities maturity model. Surprisingly, they have determined that the ideal score is 3 out of 5.
