LG 'introduces' Lollipop for US G3, the ball is in the carriers' court now and more

LG 'introduces' Lollipop for US G3, the ball is in the carriers' court now

LG G3 LollipopAmerican carriers are notoriously lethargic with software updates for even the greatest Android gadgets, but sometimes, device manufacturers don't back them up very fast either. In LG G3's case however, if Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile take more than a month or so starting today to roll Lollipop out, users will put the blame entirely on them.

That's because LG has been incredibly quick to bump up the…

Sennheiser's Proteus could make Pono, Sony ZX2 passing fads

No matter which way you look at it, high resolution audio is making it's way back. Technology has improved, and consumers, ever-wanting of more, are fueling demands for studio-quality sound in portable form. It's any wonder why the Pono Player has been a topic of conversation for a year and a big hit at CES 2015.

It's also no surprise that Sony would attempt to resurrect the Walkman (again) with fancy specification…

The end is near for Microsoft Surface tablets with Windows RT… probably

Surface 2 out of stockLooking back, Microsoft might have great trouble justifying Surface 2's release. The second-gen Windows RT tablet followed in the footsteps of a poorly received OG, and while it certainly fixed a number of Surface flaws, it flopped almost as hard as its predecessor at the box-office.

Never capable of delivering productivity on-par with full Windows-powered machines, the Surface RT and Surface 2 won't be left behind entirely once Win 10…

For limited time only, Motorola offers two free shells with Moto E purchase

Moto E shellsThis is by no means the greatest sample of Motorola's generosity, but for a handheld manufacturer that already sells its gear at the slimmest of profit margins, it's pretty much the best they can do. A discount of 30 bucks on an uber-affordable $120 smartphone, that is.

Well, not a discount per se, but a bundle offer with a…

If you're in the Northeast, chances are you're bracing for the blizzard of 2015, or her alias, Juno. Over here at Technology Tell, we're staring out our office windows at the flurries of snow beginning to circle Philadelphia. So, to get more of you on board I figured I'd share 10 gifs of cute animals in snow. How can you not find these guys adorable?!

The 10 HIGHLY EMOTIONAL stages of losing Internet connection

1. Panic

You're happily surfing the net, reblogging on Tumblr, shooting down a Reddit troll and streaming the complete discography of Duke Ellington all at once when suddenly everything goes blank. Your song is the only thing still chugging along but you know that, in seconds, the buffered time will run out. This only adds to the intense feeling of foreboding. You restart your router, restart your computer, take a lap around your wifi radius. Nothing helps. You're out of solutions. Your breathing shallows and your heart rate spikes. The end is nigh.

2. Affirmation

As the darkness sets in, you have no choice but to talk to yourself. Out loud. Your finger tips are fading quickly from tingly to numb as your body goes into panic-induced shock and you're quickly sinking into the heavy fog of confusion. Withdrawal symptoms manifest and you crawl to the kitchen in search of water. As you're sitting cross-legged in the floor under the sink you tell yourself you can beat this. You are not a victim.

You think seriously about painting a face on a volleyball.

Vudu Spark, competitor to Chromecast, costs $25

When Google released its Chromecast streaming stick, one of the most impressive aspects of it was its low price tag. Now, retailer Walmart has even undercut Google with its Vudu Spark. The streaming device is limited because it will only work with Walmart's movie rental service, but the device also costs just $24.95. As of today, the streaming stick is available across the United States and via the Walmart website.

LG G3LG's smartphone sales are doing better than ever thanks to the G3, and it's been recently confirmed a sequel is still down the line, yet the Korean company keeps throwing deals at people not on the G3 bandwagon. HTC One M9 leaks reportedly just decoys

HTC One M9 leaks reportedly just decoysThere have been a few HTC One M9 units leaked in the past weeks, but they may not be legitimate. Rather than being fake altogether, it is now being reported the units that have appeared in pictures are just decoys from HTC normally used for testing. HTC Source reports the handsets are real but shouldn't be looked…

Huawei sets pre-MWC product announcement(s) for March 1

Huawei MWCGone are the days eyebrows were raised when China-based underdogs like Huawei or ZTE visited big-time events such as the Mobile World Congress. Still, we can't help but appreciate the former's guts for not only dropping by Barcelona for MWC 2015, but vying directly against HTC to snatch the spotlight.

Huawei can run from Samsung, but not HTC,…
