AMD's Kaveri APU will boost notebook gaming performance

AMD has already targeted the budget market with Kaveri APUs for desktops and now, it has announced a notebook-ready version of Kaveri that in some instances delivers the same or better performance than Intel i5 and i7 processors. When adding these APUs to budget notebooks, manufacturers will be able to give consumers a level of performance when gaming that they normally would not see without spending far more money on a regular gaming laptop.

ASUS introduces touchscreen USB monitor

Touchscreen monitors are becoming more popular as a result of touch-friendly operating systems like Windows 8 but USB monitors generally have not jumped onto the touch bandwagon. ASUS is one of the first companies to introduce a touchscreen USB monitor and it has done so at the annual Computex trade show in Taipei, Taiwan. The new ASUS 14-inch USB monitor is the company's first to be outfitted with a touchscreen and it will work fine with any device that has USB 3.0.

Those who have tried to launch Kickstarter campaigns in the past will agree that the approval process can be very difficult to get through, but at the same time, that approval process is one of the best things about the crowdfunding website. Microsoft reveals two new Windows devices at Computex

Microsoft introduced two previously unseen Windows devices during one of its presentations at Computex 2014. Microsoft VP of OEM partners Nick Parker gave the presentation and introduced both devices to the audience. The first device that Parker revealed was the HP Pro X2 612, a 2-in-1 that has been designed specifically with businesses and professionals in mind. Secondly, Parker revealed a new unnamed 7-inch tablet from Toshiba.
