We all know that Apple is about to redesign the App Store once iOS 6 is released. In fact, there’s a latest leak into this redesigned interface showing its update history section. According to this leaked information, there is an upcoming update to the official Twitter app for iPhone. For those who are not aware, the official Twitter iPhone app has been beset by several criciticisms due to the fact that it’s kind of underpowered when it comes to features as compared to Twitter.com. But that’s about to change once the update to the Twitter app is rolled out. Thanks to the leaked information about the upcoming Twitter 4.3, we now know that the app will have more new features which will focus more on interactivity, enhancement to the notifications, faster searching, performance and other useful more wanted features. 9to5 enumerates the new features of Twitter 4.3 as follow: - More interactive Tweet view experience: content previews, videos, images and more will now be shown within tweets containing links to "partner websites."
- Tweets about "selected events" will now be highlighted. Twitter will curate the relevant tweets and images
- In the Connect tab, autocomplete improvements will be now be present. Twitter rolled out something similar to their official website last week.
- Major push notifications enhancement: You will now be able to choose to receive push notifications when certain people tweet
- Like in Tweetbot, you will now be able to receive unobtrusive Twitter notifications while you are using the app.
- The Discover tab will now be able to alert users when new content is ready for perusal
- Personalized Trends
- You will now be able to tap a user's avatar to be taken to their profile page
- Improved performance
- You will now be able to manually input your password when having authentication issues
- Hungarian localization
Additionally, the new Twitter will also be sporting a new logo as well as a plethora of app tweaks and bug fixes. Via [9 to 5 Mac]  
While people from around the world have been able to shell out their money to support a Kickstarter project, up until this time the creation of projects has been limited to those in the US. As of today, it looks like the folks at Kickstarter have announced a bit of good news for an additional market of potential project creators. Beginning sometime this autumn, those in the UK will be able to launch projects. Most likely, this will upset at least some in Europe, but for now it looks like they will be left waiting. Rogers has come forward with some details in terms of the 4G LTE roll-out for the remainder of the year. And nicely done, these plans include coverage for an additional 28 cities. That of course, comes in addition to the seven already covered markets. And for those thinking that (a total of) 35 markets before the end of the year does not sound like all that much, rest assured in knowing that means a total of about 60 percent coverage. The current Rogers LTE coverage is available in Calgary, Halifax and St. John as well as Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver (and the surrounding areas). It looks like those sporting an AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy Note will soon be getting a taste of a new dessert. Yup, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update has been officially announced. And better yet, the roll-out will begin tomorrow — July 10th. Those with a Galaxy Note in hand will want to be on the lookout for an update notification and once downloaded and installed — you will have Android 4.0.4 ICS along with the Samsung Premium Suite. The ICS side of the update will bring goodies such as Android Beam (sharing over NFC) and Face Unlock as well as improvements for data usage monitoring and multi-tasking with the Recent Apps menu. In terms of the Premium Suite, this will bring some additional functionality for the “S” branded apps and the S Pen. For example, the S Memo app will bring a new widget which will allow for faster note creation. The S Note app is also getting a tool called Formula Match which means Wolfram Alpha integration. Or simpler, you will be able to handwrite a formula and have it converted to text and then solved. Some of the other Premium Suite goodies include Shape Match, PDF file annotation and more. Bottom line, Android 4.0.4 is coming real soon for AT&T Galaxy Note users and it looks like a big update with lots of new functionality. Via [TechnoBuffalo]  
Android users now have another Twitter app available for use. Well, they do if they happen to be in the bunch that is running Android 4.0 or later, which as of this point means Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean. The app is called Tweet Lanes, which is available by way of Google Play and currently sitting at version 0.1.9. Of course, as some will likely realize by the version number — Tweet Lanes is still in the early days and does not necessarily seem to be fully baked just yet. But on the positive side, the app does appear to have a nice styling along with the basics. It also has the promise of “lots more features coming soon.” But in the meantime, while we are waiting for more to arrive, here is what you can expect as of today; - The native Android ICS styling has been shamelessly applied to Tweet Lanes, which makes for the most beautiful Twitter client available on Android.

AT&T has recently come forward with details in terms of their 4G LTE network roll-out. More specifically, the carrier has announced the availability for an additional seven markets. And without any further adieu, those lucky seven include; - Buffalo
- Burlington
- Charlotte
- Corpus Christi
- Gainesville
- Cleveland (area)
- Wichita
Otherwise, AT&T is still touting themselves as having the “nation’s largest 4G network” which is now available for more than 260 million people. And in terms of devices, AT&T is currently offering the HTC One X, Samsung Focus 2, Nokia Lumia 900 and Samsung Galaxy Note along with the Pantech Element tablet. Via [AT&T]  
We began to see hints of the Nexus 7 tablet availability with Staples a few days back. Though, at the time the listings looked a bit odd and were missing some items such as images. They did however give us an early look at potential shipping dates. And now flashing forward back till the present time, Staples has come forward with an official announcement — pre-orders are now available. They will have the 8GB and 16GB models available and the pricing will be the same as with Google — $199 and $249. Otherwise, Staples notes that both models will also be available in-store sometime “later this month.” Bottom line, pre-orders are available and just like with Google, Staples is remaining quiet on the actual shipping dates. Earlier this morning we mentioned how the availability date for the Verizon Galaxy S III had slipped from July 10th till July 12th. And well, it looks like this has since been confirmed (in a rather shady way) by Big Red. You see, back on July 6th (see via link below), Verizon offered up a post titled “Samsung Galaxy S III Available July 10″ on their website. And those visiting that same post will see almost the same thing, except the 10 has been changed to a 12. Furthermore, the remainder of that post now reflects the 12th as the shipping date. In fact, it seems that Verizon has entirely scrubbed the 10th — that is until you look at the URL or follow the link to the “news release” which still reflects the 10th. Bottom line here, it looks like Verizon tried to sneak this one in and got caught. Shame on you Verizon — at least use an update note somewhere in the post. Regardless though, shady change or not, one thing is certain — those planning to make an in-store purchase on the 10th will now be waiting till the 12th. Via [Verizon Wireless]  
Earlier this morning we had noticed that the Samsung Galaxy S III availability date with Verizon Wireless quietly slipped from July 10th to July 12th. And well, it is looking like things are not shaping up all that well for those looking to place a pre-order online either. In fact, the wait for those who place an online pre-order is going to be longer than two days. Sadly, this date also slipped quietly. Simply put, those visiting the Verizon Wireless website to place a pre-order for the GSIII as of today will be greeted with a “will ship by” date of July 19th, which for those trying to keep track, that date jumped from July 11th. We obviously still need quite a bit more in terms of detail on this one, however it is looking like Sprint and Verizon Wireless users may soon be able to get Nokia branded Windows Phone devices. The details are coming by way of a recent interview that the folks over at Neowin did with Richard Kerris. And for those not familiar with Kerris, he is Nokia’s vice president of worldwide developer relations. Anyway, according to Kerris, “it wont be long” before Verizon Wireless and Sprint have Nokia Windows Phone offerings. Of course, we realize that everyones definition of won’t be long will vary so we will try and keep the excitement in check. Not to mention, there is the little point of which and how many models will be coming to each of the carriers. Bottom line, while the news is not quite breath taking, it does offer some hope for those on Sprint or Verizon that happen to want Windows Phone. Via [neowin]  | |
