HBO recently updated the HBO GO for Android devices. The update came earlier in the month and brought one of the two goodies that many were expecting. That update arrived as version 1.4 and included support for “Android phones running up to version 4.04.” And well, the ‘phones’ in that description is where the app left off the second portion that was expected. You see, the HBO GO app for Android is not tablet friendly just yet. Simply put, while many were disappointed to see that not arriving along with the support for ICS, there is some good news. The folks at Android Community reached out to a rep from HBO and were told that a tablet-optimized app is being worked on. More specifically, they were told that HBO is “actively working on a version of the application that will be optimized for most Android tablets, including Kindle Fire.” As to when that update will arrive, sometime in the “early” summer. The Moleskine is probably best known as a notebook, however that does not mean that there are not other Moleskine branded products. For example, there have been some Moleskine pens and pencils available. And well, it looks like the folks at Moleskine have recently added another pen to the collection. The latest is the Moleskine Click Roller pen. This pen brings a 0.5mm writing tip and is priced at $11.21 as an Amazon Prime item. That being said, while we suspect that will be enough of a convincing for those super into the Moleskine, we also think that some may want more in terms of a description. For those, the Moleskine Click Roller features a rectangle shape and is described as being a pen that is “specifically fitted to attach to the cover of a Moleskine journal.” The pen is matte black in color and said to be both lightweight and sleek, but more important here, the Click Roller — as the name would imply, is a retractable point pen without a cap. Turntable.fm arrived for iOS devices way back in September of 2011, and well, it looks like the app has since come available for Android users. Those interested can grab the app from Google Play. The Turntable app is available for free and requires Android 2.2 or later for use. Otherwise, the app is currently sitting at version 2.1 and measures in as a 9.9M file download. That said, we suspect many of the GadgeTell readers are already familiar with Turntable given the previous hype, however for those who managed to tune those bits out — here is how the Turntable app is described. “turntable lets you play music together with your friends and other people online. Each DJ takes a turn playing a song and the entire virtual room hears the song. You can vote on whether the song is awesome or lame and if it receives too many lame votes, it gets skipped. turntable is also truly social. You can chat with people in your room or fan your favorite DJs so that you can find them later. Help people discover new great music or just sit around and listen to the best curated music experience online.”
