Earlier this week, a Reuters report said Netflix CEO Reed Hastings had been talking with cable companies about the possibility of bundling Netflix with their various packages. Specific cable companies involved in the discussions weren’t named, but we know Comcast is out of the running. A Comcast spokeswoman told FierceCable to not count on a partnership between Netflix and Comcast. “We have no plans to offer access to Netflix to our customers through our Xfinity TV service, no matter what device,” the spokeswoman said.” This isn’t entirely surprising considering Comcast just launched Xfinity Streampix which is somewhat of a competitor to Netflix. Although Streampix is only for Comcast customers, Comcast can provide its customers with shows Netflix can’t. Comcast and Disney have a 10-year agreement whereas Disney, Starz and Sony shows are no longer available on Netflix. Via [FierceCable]  
While we have yet to hear anything official coming from Sprint, it looks like they are going to be launching the budget priced ZTE Fury smartphone this coming Sunday. Which for those without a calendar handy, that is March 11th. Anyway, the ZTE Fury is expected to drop at $19.99 on a two-year agreement and bring features to include a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Pulse has recently become a bit more local. Simply put, Pulse has partnered with a few companies and sites and that will mean local news, local deals, local sports and local restaurant reviews for you. In terms of where the local content will be coming from, lets begin with Local News. According to details noted, the local news coverage will be coming by way of Patch and CBS Local News. Furthermore, new partners will also be joining in addition to those two. For example, The Bold Italic will bring coverage for those in San Francisco. Next up, the Local Deals. This one is coming by way of some familiar (and expected) names such as Groupon, Living Social and Gilt City. Basically, choose the Deals category in Pulse and you can get access to deals in your city. Moving on and we find the Local Sports Teams coverage which is coming by way of sites such as SBNation, Bleacher Report and CBS Sports. And lastly, the Local Food Reviews. Similar to the Local Deals, this one is coming from an expected name — Zagat. For this one, just choose the Food category in Pulse Local and get to reading, and then to eating. You see, Samsung’s Filipino website said the update would begin on March 10. Once word started to spread about this, Samsung Tomorrow tweeted the website was incorrect. Translated from Korean, the tweet reads, “Let you know that the upgrade from 10 Galaxy S2 ICS Samsung Electronics website Filipino ascended to the post wrong article are not true. Once the upgrade schedule is confirmed through twitter let me.” I know the translator’s text is in broken English, but it basically says Samsung will announce when Ice Cream Sandwich will become available through its Twitter page. Those who happen to be users of Dropbox may want to load up the Dropbox website and check the latest additions. Yup, Dropbox (on the web) has recently been updated. And nicely done, it looks like several new and worthwhile changes have been brought in. Details coming from the Dropbox Blog note this as being “a focus on the stuff you care about.” Further describing this update as follows; “One of our main goals was to slim down dropbox.com and focus on the star of the page: your stuff. We've put all the tools you need at your fingertips, but only when you need them.”
That aside though, some of the new goodies include an action bar which “does it all.” The new action bar allows you to do things such as sort files by name, date, size and/or type. Additionally, when you select a file or folder, the bar will change based on what you pick and allow for a variety of actions to be taken. Some of the other changes that one will find includes a new right-click menu, an improved photo experience, a site that is “faster and easier” to use and perhaps the most important for those with lots and lots of files being stored — an improved Dropbox search. Everyone’s favorite sub-$40 mini computers have suffered a minor setback. The shipping of the first batch of Raspberry Pi units has been slightly delayed due to a manufacturing error. The error involves one of the two Ethernet jacks pictured above. The factory incorrectly installed non-magnetic jacks in the Raspberry Pi instead of using magnetic jacks. If these units were allowed to ship, no one would be able to connect to the internet with an Ethernet cable. Fortunately this problem isn’t difficult to correct. The Raspberry Pi foundation says it just needs to desolder the non-magnetic jacks and replace them with magnetic jacks. This shouldn’t result in too much of a delay for those who managed to place an order for a Raspberry Pi. The timing on the next batch of Raspberry Pi computers will depend on how fast the company can acquire more magnetic jacks. Via [Raspberry Pi]  
The team over at SmugMug released the Camera Awesome app for the iPhone a short while back. The app initially, and has since been receiving praise for being a rather solid app. And with that, it looks like the Camera Awesome app may have gotten a tiny bit awesomer (if that can be used as a word). Anyway, this latest update brings the app up to version 1.0.2 and includes the following two items; - Fixed precording bug on iPhone 4
- Enabled Picasa for cross-posting from SmugMug

It looks like some bits have come available for the Huawei Prism smartphone. The details include a recently discovered FCC filing as well as a leaked image. The FCC filing offered the images that you can see on the left side of the above image and revealed just a few other details. Some goodies from the FCC filing include how the Prism will arrive with support for HSPA connectivity on the 850/1700 and 1900 bands — in other words, this one looks destined for T-Mobile. Additionally, the FCC filing revealed two other small tidbits including how the handset will have a 1400 mAh battery and a microSD card slot. Otherwise, an image of the handset has also leaked. The Prism can be seen on the right hand side of the above image and sadly is just a rendered style press picture. One of the more well liked GPS apps that are available for the iPad is one called MotionX GPS Drive HD. And well, it looks like the app has recently been updated. This new update brings the version number up to 13.0 and brings a few new features to include; - All new user experience: faster access to key features!

- New voice characters: Menu > Settings > Voice & Sound
- Enhanced VoiceOver support for visually impaired users

Yesterday we mentioned the pricing for the new iPad data plans for both Verizon Wireless and AT&T. And well, while we had the pricing, it looks like there is also something else worth mentioning — something that will be included with one carrier but not the other. That feature is Mobile Hotspot and those choosing to get a Verizon Wireless data plan will get to enjoy tethering at no additional charge. Bottom line here, the details have been confirmed by the respective carriers who each had this to say;
Verizon Wireless “The new iPad on the Verizon Wireless network will have the mobile hotspot feature. Our 4G LTE tablets have the mobile hotspot feature and it is included in the tablet data plans so for example, customers who sign up for the $30 for 2GB plan will also have access to the mobile hotspot feature.”
And AT&T "We are working with Apple to enable this feature in the future, but we currently do not offer it."
