Spotify may have accidentally violated your music privacy

Spotify was recently rid of a bug that kept users signed in to Facebook even after they chose to disconnect their Facebook accounts from Spotify. Even though Spotify users may not have noticed, the music they were listening to may have been posted in the Facebook live News Ticker without their permission. This kind of oversight does not bode well for Facebook’s idea of frictionless sharing which automatically posts what a person is listening to or reading on Facebook at all times. Twitter exerts its control over link shortening

Twitter now has more control over the links that are posted on its site. Twitter will now automatically shorten any links that goes through the site using its t.co domain. This is bad news for other link shortening services that are popular on Twitter such as bit.ly. Twitter will now shrink links no matter how few letters the link is comprised of. Some may see this move as Twitter’s way of squeezing out the competition, but Twitter isn’t framing it as such. Twitter says by requiring all links to be shortened using t.co, it can protect its users from accessing…

HP's decision on what to do with webOS could come as early as today

While we are still not all that certain as to what HP is planning to do with webOS, especially considering they have since killed off the hardware devices that once ran the operating system, however some reports are suggesting that HP may be having an all-hands meeting today to decide the fate. Either way, while the possibilities are nothing more than an educated guess at this point,…
